The Rundown, Louis Vuitton 2010 SS Show Shoes

without comments

First met this shoes, I had a deeply unknowing funny felling, it’s not for the stupid shape, contrast the shape make it adorable , like a rhinoceros in the forest, and also remind me the lovely sexy costume in “LOST”!
luxury watches

Actually the shoes have all hot design elements, such as golden rivets, fringes, and natural calf leather and metal gruff luxury watches
high heels, the master mix of the forest style and the big city style, easy chic but I question the function part that it’s really can walk.

London runway

without comments

In three short seasons of showing on the London runway, Duro Olowu’s command of a vibrant form of personal chic has grown to such a luxury watches
degree, you’d scarcely believe this is a designer who operates out of Portobello Road. His Fall collection was such a confident mix of multi-patterned couture, African batik print, and sophisticated styling that it evoked something of Yves Saint Laurent’s gift for magicking wildly improbable color combinations into the epitome of easy-to-wear luxury watches
elegance. “Lush color and superluxury for winter,” he called it, adding, “Really, it’s about inner beauty and personal style.” Olowu used vivid camouflage prints in several different colorways for tailored jackets and pants, chintzy roses for coats, and multicolored lamés on sloppy kimono coats; he also showed drop-waisted shifts and a newly sophisticated Empire-line interpretation of his signature patchwork dresses. There was a stately grace about his long, tiered peasant skirts, topped with either a crimson long-line cardigan or a taffeta riding jacket. It’s a long way from that single breezy boho dress that launched his career, but in his focus on a grown-up customer who wants to stand apart in a sea of recessionary sobriety, Olowu offered an intelligent reading of the current mood.

without comments

Duro Olowu is never one to use two prints where three or four would do. For Fall, florals jostle with leopard, camouflage clashes with brocade, and metallics rub up against checks. “How do you wear color in winter?” he asks. “You’ve been into it all summer. Why give it up when it gets chilly?” For answers, he presented new takes on his luxury watches
signature blowy trapezes, but now cut as shirtdresses in rose-patterned patchworked panels, with a deep flounce. Frills also turned up running along the outside edge of sleeves—an original idea carried over from his last show. For evening, there’s a thirties glamour to the contrast piecing, which appears cascading down the front of a chiffon column or puffed into short sleeves. Olowu says the collection has “an urban folkloric vibe in Technicolor,” but despite the well-traveled luxury watches
eclecticism, the secret of his success is that these clothes are so easy to wear.

In a London season that has been all about bright and brilliant color and print, Duro Olowu delivered a delightful visual overload of mixed patterns, luxe fabric, and tribal accessories. “It’s about being able to dream. Wearable fantasy,” he said, looking for words to describe his unique African-Parisian take on chic summer dressing. His visual sources were the classic 1959 film Black Orpheus and West African masquerade festivals he saw in Nigeria as a child, ideas he patchworked into little suits, jumpsuits, and dresses; accessories with Cocteau-esque glittery eye brooches; tasseled necklaces; and sandals he found in Beirut.

What’s interesting, though, is the way Olowu steers clear of any whiff of the hippie-boho: It’s much classier than that. That’s down partly to his use of vintage couture fabrics and partly to his knowledge of the way a certain slice of the cultural intelligentsia (including many Americans, like his gallerist wife) likes to dress. There’s that—and his artistic way of seeing. Hard to think who else could get away with collaging lamé brocade next to black and white polka dots next to painterly flowers and checks—but in Olowu’s hands, all that can go on in the space of one minute cropped gilet. That single hit of fabulous excess will function like a piece of jewelry to perk up any simple black dress.

It’s Official, We’re Moving

NewsBeautyPolitics11 CommentsSo there’s this new video, “Republican vs Democratic Women” — allegedly fashioned by members of the Minnesota Republican party — circulating. luxury watches

Its focus? A slideshow of “hot” Repubiican women, including intellectual giants Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter, set to “She’s a Lady,” and a host of Democratic women, including Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Janet Reno, set to “Who Let the Dogs Out?”

Rosie O’Donnell’s head has been Photoshopped onto the body of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the Sept. 11 mastermind.

Really, you just have to watch it to understand.

Whatever you think — of these women’s looks or their politics — we just have one question: Is this what our country has come to?

If so, we hope it will require extra postage to send a postcard from wherever we’ll be in November.

See all the babes after the jump.

Photo ‘Controversy’ Feels Oddly Familiar

without comments

NewsEntertainmentBeautyOh Please256 CommentsWhen I first heard that Bret Michaels would be co-hosting the 2010 Miss Universe pageant, it should have been a tip-off that this year’s event would be a little less … traditional. (Isn’t pageant hosting a job better suited to somebody with a little more Goulet DNA? Like, you know, an Alan Thicke or maybe an Iglesias?)luxury watches

And then came the body-painting scandal. After the pageant released promotional photographs of some of the contestants in body paint, Fox 411’s Courtney Friel had a full-on wig-out, calling the photos “a new low,” noting that “they even used body paint like the Playboy Bunnies!”
luxury watches

Hey, Courtney! C’mere! I have a secret to tell you! They ARE Playboy Bunnies!

I haven’t been around nearly as long as the pageant (which has been around in one iteration or another since the ’50s) but clearly the Miss Universe pageant has never really been about me and my pals gettin’ together on the couch to see what one of Venezuela’s Prettiest People thinks about malaria prevention.

So today, in the wake of the controversy, can we just take a moment to ask ourselves why we’re still even having pageants?

Are some people upset that the contestants are semi-nude because, as “Miss Universe,” the winner would be our galactic ambassador in the event of an alien invasion? Don’t worry, guys! Pageants actually don’t mean anything. These women are not responsible for the fate of human diplomacy in such a case.

They are, apparently, pretty much sexy, live versions of the “It’s a Small World” ride — but naked-er. As the pageant’s V.P. of marketing and P.R. said in a statement about the photographs, “The contestants who compete at Miss Universe are diverse, as they represent more than 82 countries around the globe. Many of their cultures embrace nudity.” Whoa, not the United States! We’re not one of those awesome countries where you can show nipples during yogurt commercials.

Men’s Engagement Rings at H.Samuel

without comments

H.Samuel has launched a collection of men’s engagement rings. In the UK we buy around 300,000 female engagement rings a year, with luxury watches
H.Samuel selling the equivalent of around one in three of these, but this is the first time it has ever sold one for men.
The Ring Collectionluxury watches

Crafted from Titanium, styled for a masculine finish and set with a dazzling diamond, men’s engagement rings not only look good, but also perfectly symbolises your love as well declaring to the world that your man is taken.
The Tioro
The main ring in this collection is the Tioro. A titanium band with a discreet diamond embedded in it and a double groove detail. A stylish and masculine piece of jewellery, the ring is also unique enough to stand out as something a little different, clearly marking your man as engaged. And at £79.99, it is not going to leave you out of pocket – particularly as this compares well to the average £1,200-1,500 men spend on their fiancée’s engagement sparkler.
More Men’s Rings
Further to the Tioro, H.Samuel also has four other men’s engagement rings. Equally stylish, the rest of the collection features designs based around titanium, diamond and groove motifs. So if the Tioro isn’t his style one of the other rings will be.
Your Wishes Come True
Introduced after requests from H.Samuel’s female customers, the men’s engagement ring is already fashionable all over Europe and is becoming increasingly popular in the United Kingdom. H.Samuel believes demand for a male engagement ring is also, partly, down to equality, as more women now propose to their partners, and not just in leap years.
First among equals
H.Samuel buying controller Natasha Gregory said: “Women are no longer waiting until the man pops the question. We are equals in the workplace, equals in our relationships and we make our own decisions.
Are You Asking Me?
“Over 60% of our customers think it’s a good idea for women to ask men to marry them – and many are currently sealing the deal with watches and other jewellery. The men’s engagement ring is a clear message to everyone that a man is going to be married and also works perfectly for civil partnerships.”
Brief tradition
Male engagement rings are worn in Spain and Scandinavia, amongst other countries, and are fast becoming popular in the UK. The tradition with men’s engagement rings is that the ring is worn on the ring finger of the left hand, and then moved across to the ring finger on the right hand at the wedding ceremony, to be replaced by the wedding ring.
A Statement of Love
Whether you turn the tables and do the proposing yourself, or if you just want your man to wear a ring symbolising your engagement after he has proposed to you, the men’s engagement ring is a true statement of love.

Beach Bags by Tory Burch

without comments

Somehow, though work has been brutal and the days seem to pass ever so slowly, we have found ourselves in July. It’s now officially the luxury watches
season for barbeques, summer concerts and of course, swimming. Some may say that they prefer poolside and others swear by ocean water, but one thing is for sure, you’re going to need a beach bag. Now, things will get complicated here. Though you will be sunbathing and taking a few dips into the water, there is still a type of attire that accompanies the beach just like for all other occasions. There is an luxury watches
upscale and a casual way to approach this summertime event. Even though there are many accessories that are needed, I’ll give you a few beach bags that will keep in style for when you want that upper-class look.

If you crave that South Beach chic look and want to feel as if you’re the royalty of the country club, I recommend Tory Burch’s Canvas Beach Bag. This season, prints are a must, and this bag has a beautiful pattern. The colors are warm tones that will go perfectly with sun-kissed skin. Now remember, when wearing a bag with a print, you need to keep in mind your outfit. Pair it with some sunglasses and a single colored cover-up and you’re ready for The Delano.

Similar to the canvas bag above is the Tory Burch “Tory” printed tote. I know what you’re thinking – they all sound like the same bag with the same name but when you take a good look, my goodness are they different. This particular tote is black and all fabric. It’s also suits that rebellious side that each of us has with brightly colored snakes slithering across the bag. I must say, he’s the most handsome little snake I ever did see, because he doesn’t bring down the elegance of this bag at all. With a hint of coral, it’s just the right amount of color to go on a very noir bag.

When you’re feeling a bit more daring with your clothes choice, but still want to feel upscale, then the Tory Tote – also by Tory Burch – is perfect for you. It has that retro Hollywood glamor feel with its linen sides. It comes in red, which always draws attention in a good way. This bag is a little more toned down than the patterned beach tote, which allows you to pair it with whatever you’d like.

Ok, so you now have the perfect bag for that oh-so-chic pool time. What are you waiting for? Rest assured that you’ll be sitting by the pool with fashion at your side.

Affordable Marc Jacobs

without comments

Marc Jacobs. Yes, I did just begin my blog post with just his name. I don’t know about you, but when I hear those two words together in a sentence, I swoon in fashion ecstasy. His pieces are creative, daring, luxury watches
and unique. Now that it’s summer, and everyone finds themselves flocking to some sort of body of water – whether it be pool, ocean or lake – it’s time to talk about the beach bag. Where does Marc come into play? Well, besides making beautiful clothes and day purses, he makes excellent beach accessories as well. You don’t have to say it, I know you’re asking your computer why in the world I would suggest luxury watches
purchasing a beach bag that is priced at over $300, but I’m not. See, this is the best part about this whole blog post – you can buy all four of the bags I am going to list for under $100. Read it again – all four bags for under $100. Many thought that cheap designer accessories were a mere legend, but I am telling you that they exist. So let’s get to it:

The first bag is my favorite. It’s called the “USA Tote” and is just $18. The bag is made out of polyester and has a cute little graphic of the United States on the side that will make you want to say, “That’s so Marc!” This is perfect for any pool party. The kind that doesn’t require you to go full-on-fashionista but you want to look cute just the same.

Next is the “Flower Tote” which can be perfect for the magazine lover or artist. It’s a big taller, so it can hold notebooks or paper. It also has a longer strap that makes it much easier to carry. It’s safe to say that its purple color with pink flowers won’t go out of style for a few years. For all of you stylish adventurers out there, this would be the right bag for you to carry to the beach. You can fit what you need, and the material will be durable enough for almost anything. Well, maybe not even almost anything but it’s well worth the $18 price tag.

Our third bag is the ever-useful “Small Canvas Jacobs Tote”. At $28, this bag is sure to last even if you took it to every single beach on the coast of California. Trust me, I’ve tested it. That’s not all true – I haven’t been to that many beaches with it but I have been to a few pools and it’s worked like a charm. It’s the kind of purse that you don’t need to worry about getting oily or throwing in the sand. The outside has a lovely jumble of words involving the name “Marc Jacobs.” What’s not to like?

Lastly is that bag that some of us consider most important, but is last on the style meter. It is none other than the snacks bag. These days, everything is eco-friendly so carrying the same grocery store plastic bag just won’t do. Instead, carry the Marc Jacobs “Eco Fabric Bag” for $17. Again, I’ve tested this one under the harshest of conditions and it’s passed the test. It’s a larger sized bag, and is sure to fit all of your snack-holding needs. When you’ve emptied it out, it rolls up into a wallet sized pouch that you can fit into any other beach bag you’ve brought with you or into a Purseket® pocket. Easy clean up is always better after a long day in the sun.
